Let the runs scored by Rohit = x
Then, the runs scored by Virat = 2 × runs scored by Rohit = 2x
According to the question, the total of their scores is 2 less than a double century.
∴ x + 2x = 200 − 2
⇒ 3x = 198
⇒ x = `198/3`
⇒ x = 66
So, runs scored by Rohit = x = 66
Runs scored by Virat = 2x
= 2 × 66
= 132
