प्रश्न
What are side bands?
Explain the following:
Side Bands
उत्तर १
Side bands are connected to the net and placed just above each sideline. They are 5 cm broad and 1 m long and considered part of the net.
उत्तर २
"Side bands" refer to specific frequency components in radio communication and signal processing, typically in the context of amplitude modulation (AM) or similar modulation techniques.
In amplitude modulation (AM), a carrier wave (a continuous waveform of a specific frequency) is combined with an information signal (such as voice, music, or data) to transmit information. When the information signal modulates the carrier wave, it produces additional frequency components called side bands.
Importance of Side Bands:
- The side bands carry the actual information (such as audio or data) being transmitted.
- The carrier itself does not carry any useful information in standard AM but is used to facilitate the transmission and demodulation of the signal.
