प्रश्न

What is the effect of DNA copying, which is not perfectly accurate, on the reproduction process? How does the amount of DNA remain constant though each new generation is a combination of DNA copies of two individuals?

उत्तर

The DNA copying which is not perfectly accurate in the reproduction process results in variations in populations for the survival of species. The amount of DNA remains constant because the gametes are special type of cells called reproductive cells which contain only half the amount of DNA as compared to the normal body cells of an organism.
