प्रश्न
What is the equivalent resistance between A and B in the given circuit (Fig?)
उत्तर
Between A and B, the series combination of two resistors of resistances 2 ohm each is connected in parallel with the 1 ohm resistor.
:. Equivalent series resistance between A and B, R, = 2+2 = 4 Ω
Now, between A and B this 4 Ω resistor is connected in parallel with 1Ω resistor.
Equivalent resistance between A and B, R = `(1/4 + 1/1)^-1= (5/4)^-1 = 4/5`Ω

You have three resistors of values 2 `Omega`, 3 `Omega`, and 5 `Omega`. How will you join them so that the total resistance is less than 2 `Omega`?
Answer the following question.
While studying the dependence of potential difference ( V) across a resistor on the current (I) passing through it, in order to determine the resistance of the resistor, a student took 5 readings for different values of current and plotted a graph between V and t. He got a straight line graph passing through the origin. What does the straight-line signify? Write the method of determining the resistance of the resister using this graph.
