प्रश्न
What is a flower?
उत्तर
- Any blooming plant's (angiosperms') reproductive unit is referred to as a flower. In angiosperms, sexual reproduction occurs in flowers. A modified stem with a condensed axis is what makes up a typical flower.
- A flower is composed of four distinct parts: the calyx, corolla, androecium, and the gynoecium. The male and female reproductive organs of a flower are represented by the androgynecium and gynoecium, respectively.
- In contrast to unisexual flowers, which only include either gynoecium or androecium, bisexual flowers have both. Normally separate, the corolla and calyx can occasionally unite to form a perianth.
- A complete flower is one that has all four floral parts present.
