What was the significance of the Lahore Session of the Muslim League (1940)

On 23rd March 1940 at the Lahore Session, the Muslim League adopted Jinnah’s two-nation theory and passed the historic Pakistan Resolution which demanded the division of India and the establishment of an independent, sovereign Muslim State. This ultimately led to the division of the country in 1947.
