प्रश्न
What will happen if....? And why?
Rubber is not fitted on a pair of tongs.
उत्तर
Rubber is a poor conductor of heat and electricity. It prevents heat from passing to the hands/handle of the tongs, so protecting us. A pair of tongs is constructed of metal, which conducts heat and electricity. They exhibit both thermal and electrical conduction properties. We shall be unable to lift hot objects with tongs that do not have rubber on them.
