1. Agriculture, as an occupation, is mainly practiced in northern hemisphere; specifically, between 0° to 60° N, except African continent, northern and central part of Asian continent as well as northern part of North America.
2. In Asian continent, most of agricultural region is found in south and east direction which are monsoon regions.
3. In Mediterranean region, summer is dry and rainfall occurs during winter (mean annual rainfall is 500 to 1000 mm) while in Western Europe, the climate is mild and it rains throughout the year. Such climate leads to agricultural occupation in these regions.
4. In North American continent, the agricultural region is found in the central part. The farming is practiced due to continental type climate (summers are warm and winters are very cold), rainfall above 50 cm and fertile soil.
