MCQ

उत्तर

i, ii & iii

Explanation:

The Lok Sabha elections of 1971 produced results that were as dramatic as the decision to hold them. In the first four general elections, the Congress(R)-CPI combination gained more seats and votes than the Congress had ever won. In the Lok Sabha, the coalition won 375 seats with 48.4% of the vote. Indira Gandhi's Congress (R) won 352 seats on its own, with around 44% of the overall vote. Compare this to the Congress(Performance) despite having so many stalwarts, the party received less than one-fourth of the votes received by Indira Gandhi's party and only won 16 seats. With this, Indira Gandhi's Congress party established its claim to be the "genuine" Congress and restored it to power.
