Swami Shraddhananda opposed Arya Samaj for its doctrinal purity. He was the opinion that the group running the DAV schools are too westernised and thereby ignore the founder’s ideology. Therefore he started his own network of schools, Gurukulas, emphasising the study of Vedas.
