प्रश्न
Why the Mediterranean region cannot support large cattle populations?
उत्तर
Climate conditions in the Mediterranean region do not favour grasses because most of the rain occurs in the cool season when the growth is slow. The only grasses that can grow in these regions are so wiry and bunchy that they cannot support large cattle populations.
