- The Government has launched various programmers such as Integrated Rural Development Programmer (IRDP) and Rural Landless Employment Guarantee Programmer (RLEGP) to help the poor. The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2005 seeks to provide 100 days of guaranteed wage employment to rural households.
