- It is a small village in the Bagalkot district of Karnataka.
- It has ten temples.
- Out of them, four were built in northern style (Nagara), while the rest six are in the southern (Dravida) style.
- Virupaksha Temple and Sangameshwara Temple are in Dravida style and Papanatha temple is in Nagara style.
- The Virupaksha temple is built on the model of the Kanchi Kailasanatha temple.
- Sculptors brought from Kanchi were employed in its construction
