Anaimalai is located on the border of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. It is located in the South of the Palghat gap. Valparai hill station and Kadamparai hydroelectric Power Plant are located on this hill. Anaimalai Tiger Reserve and Aliyar Reserve Forest is here. The dams Aliyar and Tirumurthy are located at the foothills of this range.
