1. A full wave rectifier rectifies both halves of the alternating current input.
2. When a transformer's secondary is forward-biased, it is linked to two diodes such that current flows through just one diode.
3. In both AC cycles, D.C. output is obtained.
4. i.e. current flows through load resistance only in one direction.
