The Non-Brahmins organized themselves into political organizations to protect their interests. On 20th November a meeting of about thirty Non-Brahmins was held under the leadership of Dr. T. M. Nair P. Thiyagarayar and C. Natesanar at victoria public hall Chennai. The South Indian Liberal Federation (SILF) was founded to promote the interests of Non-Brahmins. It later came to be known as the ‘Justice Party’.
