Question
A and B start from the same point and at the same time with speeds 15 km/h and 12 km/h respectively, find the distance between A and B after 6 hours if both move in the opposite direction.
Solution
A’s speed = 15 km/h
B’s speed = 12 km/h
Distance covered by A in 6 hours = 15 × 6 = 90 km
and Distance covered by B in 6 hours = 12 × 6 = 72 km
Distance between A and B, when they move in the opposite directions = 90 + 72 = 162 km
