Question
A bag contains 12 blue balls and x red balls. If one ball is drawn at random what is the probability that it will be a red ball?
Solution
Sample space = 12 + x
n(S) = x + 12
Let A be the event of getting a red ball
n(A) = x
P(A) = `("n"("A"))/("n"("S"))`
= `(x/(x + 12))`
