MCQ

Solution

20

Explanation:

No. of men = 400

No of days = 60

∴ Total no. of man days = (400 × 60) = 24000 man days

Work done by 400 men in 1 day

∴ Man days for 35 days= 35 × 400 = 14000

∴ No. of man days left = (24000 – 14000)

= 10, 000 man days

After 100 men joined,

∴ No. of days the provision would last = `(10,000)/500` = 20 days.
