Rearranging and collecting the like terms
= 2x2 +3x2− x2 + 7y2 − y2 +4y2 − 8xy + 6xy − xy− 8xy2 +2xy2 + xy2
= (2 +3− 1)x2 + (7 − 1 +4)y2 + (-8 + 6 −1)xy + (− 8 +2 +1)xy2
= 4x2 + 10y2 − 3xy -5xy2
