    Many political parties give election tickets to candidates with criminal backgrounds. This results in the criminalization of politics. Due to this, the Election Commission finds it difficult to ensure that the elections are conducted in a free environment.
  3. Violence during elections:
    The extent of violence has increased significantly during elections.
  4. Family monopoly in politics:
    To retain a continuing influence on politics, leaders give election tickets to their own relatives. This practice creates a family monopoly in politics.
