The term 'Population' refers to the group of individuals of a species living together in a group in a well-defined geographical area, sharing or competing for resources, and potentially interbreeding. Although the term interbreeding implies sexual reproduction, a group of individuals resulting from even asexual reproduction is also considered a population.
