Question

Basheer has Rs 100. He spends one-fourth of the money on squid and another three-fourth on prawns.

How many kilograms of prawns did he buy?

Sum

Solution

Money left with Basheer

100 – 25 = 75 rupees

Rs 150 buys 1 kg of prawns

∴ Rs 1 buys `1/150` kg of prawns

∴ Rs 75 buys `1/50 xx 75`

= `1/2` kg of prawns.
