Question
Convert given fraction into a fraction with equal numerators:
`6/13, 15/23 "and" 12/17`
Solution
In `6/13, 15/23 "and" 12/17`, L.C.M. of 6, 15 and 12 = 60
`therefore 6/13 = (6 xx 10)/(13 xx 10) = 60/130`
`therefore 15/23 = (15 xx 4)/(23 xx 4) = 60/92` and
`therefore 12/17 = (12 xx 5)/(17 xx 5) = 60/85`
Hence the required fractions are `60/130, 60/92 "and" 60/85`.
