Solution
22 February 2024, Thursday Dear Diary Being able to make the right decision at the appropriate time was such a blessing. It was a pivotal day at Mr. Lamb's garden. I was initially preoccupied with my anxieties and insecurities. It seems that the only way to survive was to leave that burned, deformed face behind. After hearing Mr. Lamb's encouraging remarks and seeing his optimism, I felt a change. Everything was overtaken by the want to go back. The idea of going into permanent concealment was too much for me. Walking back into the garden as a result of that decision has brought me unanticipated happiness. Mr. Lamb saw me as a person with thoughts and dreams, not just because of how I looked. His approval is a priceless gift that I never thought I would get. At last, I'm letting go of the notion that I'm unlovable. The procedure is both thrilling and terrible. I have a glimmer of hope for the first time in a long time, but I have no idea what the future holds. I appreciate you giving me the strength to face the world once more, Mr. Lamb. Derry |
