Solution

The Decean Plateau is highly dissected and is broken by hills and river valleys. It is composed of old, hard, crystalline rocks. It is bounded on the north by the ranges of Vindhyas and the Satpura, on the west by the Western Ghats and on the east by the Eastern Ghats.
