Communicable diseases
- Diseases which spread from one person to another.
- These are also called as infectious diseases.
- These diseases are caused by microbes called pathogens.
- Examples : AIDS, cholera, cold, mumps, typhoid etc.
Non-communicable diseases
- Diseases which do not spread from person to person and remain confined to the diseased person.
- These are also called as non-infectious diseases.
- These diseases are not caused by microbes.
- Examples : allergy, diabetes, anaemia, etc
