It is stated that Tansen's music alone could bring about fire and rain. Around him, the area would burn if he sang the Raga Deepak. The rain would start if he sang Megha; Malhar. If he sang an evening raga during the day, the sunshine would fade and it would appear as though dusk had already fallen.
