Jesus attracted large crowds wherever, he went through his intelligence, wisdom, compassion, and simplicity. This greatly enraged the leaders of the Jewish religion who felt threatened by his growing popularity. They convinced the Roman Governor, Pontius Pilate, that Jesus was also a threat to the political authority of the Romans. Due to which Jesus was put on trial and was later on crucified.
