Question
Division of labour is not an unmixed blessing. Give one reason.
Solution
- Specialization, or division of labour has been a mixed blessing. It has been responsible for many evils to individual workers and to society in general. But whatever its evils, specialisation has come to stay.
- The merits are more important than the demerits. It has certainly been responsible for the rise in income and standards of living among the people.
- Efforts are thereby being continuously made to reduce and if possible, remove the harmful effects of specialisation.
