1. The rise of global corporations has turned the welfare state model into a minimalist state that only does the most basic things, like keeping the peace and protecting the country.
2. Integrated markets, which come from globalization, have an effect on the world's economic policies. This means that different parts of the world have policies that are very similar to each other.
3. Some people who are against economic globalization call it the 'recolonization of the world' because it has hurt weaker countries and their poor people more than it has helped multinational companies.
4. Big western countries have shaped culture by imposing their views on movies, food, fashion, writing, and other areas, such as McDonaldization, which has made cultures more alike.
