Question
Explain rain water harvesting.
Solution
Rainwater harvesting:
It is a technique of collecting, storing, and reutilising rain water. Special water-harvesting structures are made for this purpose such as wells, percolation pits, dams and lagoons. This technique is very useful in the regions where there is water scarcity or where rainfall does not occur. It maintains a supply of water during the dry months of the year.
