Explain the terms (a) Transducer and (b) Attenuation in communication system.

Solution

(a) Transducer: The device which converts one form of energy into another is called Transducer.
Example: LED, Microphone, Speaker.
(b) Attenuation: Loss of strength of signal while propogation through medium is called attenuation.
