Explain the reasons for conserving energy.

2. Environmental Protection: The other reason for conserving energy is the health and well-being of every life form on the entire planet. Using fossil fuels and some other energy forms typically pollutes the environment in a number of ways. These include air pollution, acid rain, global warming, oil spills, water pollution, loss of wilderness areas, etc.
