Logistics is the process of managing the movement and storage of raw materials, parts and finished products from the supplier through the firm and on to customers. It includes all the activities that facilitate the flow of products from the source of raw materials to the point of final consumption. Logistics is also known as Physical Distribution Management (PDM). It helps to create time utility and place utility.
