Question

Explain why It is necessary to find out the ration of reactants required in the preparation of sodium sulphate.

Short Note

Solution

Since sodium hydroxide and sulphuric acid are both soluble, an excess of either of them cannot be removed by filtration. Therefore it is necessary to find out on small scale, the ratio of solutions of the two reactants.
