Question
Find a rational number between `sqrt2` and `sqrt3`
Solution
As we know, `sqrt2` and `sqrt3` are irrational numbers.
`sqrt2` = 1.414 (approx.)
`sqrt3` = 1.732 (approx.)
A rational number between `sqrt2` and `sqrt3` will be
1.414 < 1.5<1.732
⇒ `sqrt2 < 3/2< sqrt3`
Therefore, 1.5 = `3/2` is a rational between `sqrt2 "and" sqrt3`.
