Solution

  1. Cross-Number Puzzles: Similar to crosswords, but with numbers. Each clue leads to a number, and the digits are filled into the grid.
    • Example: Clue for 5-Across: "The product of 7 and 8." Clue for 3-Down: "The year the Battle of Hastings occurred."
    • These puzzles test your arithmetic and general knowledge.
  2. KenKen: A grid-based numerical puzzle that combines elements of Sudoku and basic arithmetic.
    • How ro play:
      • Fill the grid with numbers so that no number repeats in any row or column.
      • The grid is divided into heavily outlined groups of cells called "cages," each with a target number and an arithmetic operation.
      • The numbers in each cage must combine (using the specified operation) to form the target number.
    • KenKen puzzles develop arithmetic skills and logical reasoning.
  3. Number Sequence Puzzles: Identify the pattern in a sequence of numbers and determine the next number.
    • Example:
    • "What is the next number in the series: 2, 6, 12, 20, 30, ...?"
    • These puzzles enhance analytical thinking and pattern recognition.
