Question
Find the factor of the polynomial given below.
`1/2x^2 - 3x + 4`
Solution
`1/2x^2 - 3x + 4`
`= 1/2x^2 - 6/2x + 8/2`
`= 1/2(x^2 - 6x + 8)`
`= 1/2(x^2 - 4x - 2x + 8)`
`= 1/2 x(x - 4) - 2(x - 4)`
`= 1/2 (x - 4)(x - 2)`
`= (x - 4)(1/2x - 1)`
