Question
Find the mean of the first ten even natural numbers.
Solution
First ten even natural numbers = 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20.
Sum of all observations = 2 + 4 + 6 + 8 + 10 + 12 + 14 + 16 + 18 + 20 = 110
Number of observations = 10
Mean = `"Sum of all observations"/"Number of observations"`
∴ Mean = `110/10` = 11
