Question

Find the S.P. in the following :
M.P. = Rs.850, Discount = 16%

Sum

Solution

M.P. = Rs.850, Discount = 16%

`"S.P."/"M.P." = 1 - "discount"/(100)`

⇒ `"S.P."/(850) = 1 - (16)/(100)`

⇒ S.P. = `(84)/(100)` x Rs.850
= Rs.714.
