Question
Find the sum:
`(-3)/(-11) + 5/9`
Solution
Given, `(-3)/(-11) + 5/9`
= `(3)/(11) + 5/9`
Now the LCM of the denominator of the former parameter = 11 × 9 = 99
= `((3 xx 9) + (5 xx 11))/99`
= `(27 + 55)/99`
= `82/99`
The numerator and denominator of the obtained rational number have no other multiple than 1.
Hence, = `82/99`
