Question
Geetha brought 2 l and 250 ml of water in a bottle. Her friend drank 300 ml from it. How much of water is remaining in the bottle?
Solution
Quantity of water Geetha brought = 2 l 250 ml
= 2 × 1000 + 250 ml
= 2000 + 250 ml
= 2250 ml
Quantity of water her friend drank = 300 ml
Remaining water = 2250 – 300
= 1950 ml
= 1 litre 950 ml
Remaining water = 1 litre 950 ml.
