Give a geographical reason for the following:

The Ganga is navigable from its mouth right upto Allahabad.

Answer in Brief

The Ganga River originates from the Gangotri glacier in the Himalayas. It and its tributaries flow through the northern plains. The Yamuna, the principal right-bank tributary, joins near Allahabad, making the river navigable from its mouth to Allahabad.
