Question
Give a geographical reason for the following:
Well irrigation is confined mainly to the alluvial plains.
Short Note
Solution
Irrigation is primarily used in alluvial plains because to its soft soil, which allows for easy well digging and good crop yields. To irrigate a region, wells are dug in the centre at a high level. Perennial rivers keep the water table refreshed.
