Solution

Exothermic reaction:

     When carbon burns in oxygen to form carbon dioxide, a lot of heat is produced.

 C + O2 → CO2 + Heat

Endothermic reaction:

When carbon is heated with sulphur at high temperature, liquid carbon disulphide is formed.
