2. A dust collector consists of a blower, long cylindrical bag made up of woven or felt fabric, a filter cleaning system, and a dust removal system.
3. The air containing the suspended particulate matter is passed through the bag filters.
4. The dust particles accumulates on the filter media surface until no longer air can move through it.
5. When a sufficient pressure drop occurs the cleaning process begins.
6. The working of the bag filter also depends on air to cloth ratio and the gas temperature, as fabric is designed to work at a certain temperature.
