How many types of courts for consumer protection have been set up in India? What are their limits for hearing?

Under COPRA, a three-tier quasi-judicial machinery was set up for the sowing of consumer disputes, as given below:

1. District level courts: upto ₹ 20 lakhs
2. State level courts: ₹ 20 lakhs to ₹ 1 crore
3. National level courts: ₹ 1 crore and above

If a case is dismissed in district court, the consumer can also appeal to state and national-level courts.
