Question

If a green plant is kept in dark with proper ventilation, can this plant carry out photosynthesis? Can anything be given as supplement to maintain its growth or survival?

Short Note

Solution

If a plant is kept in dark with adequate ventilation, it will proceed to get carbon dioxide. But it is bereft of sunlight. Hence, this plant cannot carry out photosynthesis. For sustaining its survival, the plant can be provided with an adequate proportion of water. But the plant would ultimately die because of the absence of nutrients.
