Question

If a rickshaw travels at a speed of 30 kmph, how far will it travel in three-quarters of an hour?

Sum

Solution

30 kmph means

In 60 minutes 30 km and 30 minutes 15 km and 15 minutes `15/2 = (15 xx 5)/(2 xx 5) = 75/10 = 7.5` km.

∴ In 45 minutes = 15 km + 7.5 km = 22.5 km.
